Salma Is Not Depressed About The Break-Up
Salma Hayek recently broke-off her engagement to her billionaire fiance François-Henri Pinault, but don’t expect the bella Mexicana to seep into a deep depression about the break-up.
A close source revealed to People.com,
“The break-up may have been a surprise to the public, but not to people close to her and my friend is not depressed over this.”
The chismoso also stated that the two are still committed to having a healthy friendship for the sake of baby Valentina. No word yet on how many bill$ Salma’s ex is going to dish out, but we are sure it is going to be a hefty sum!
Who could possibly be depressed about that outcome?

Of course she aint depressed. She’s a closeted lesbian that wanted a natural baby. She made sure she trapped the daddy of all daddies(money wise, not looks wise) to give her one and be set for life. Yeah, she makes her own money, but, not close to what she sold herself for. Whose gonna be depressed over a non existing future wedding. She’s happier than she ever was.
She got what she wanted. There was no way in hell she was going to marry that man. She is a smart one by picking a super rich man. She will never marry.
I don’t think she ever planned on marrying Henri anyway. She will get the paycheck for the next 18 years, she got the baby before she got too old, she’s done! That’s exactly what she wanted. Why would she be upset?
I used to love Salma. I thought she was smart, sexy and progressive in terms of wanting to be a woman film producer and open the door for more successful women.
I have to admit I found this relationship suspect. An old ass billionnare boyfriend? You have a baby with an old man who can never have the energy to play with your daughter, and will probably be dead before she hits her teens? Now the so-called engagement is done? Sounds like Salma sold herself out to the highest bidder to be set for life. ( Ed Norton was young, but he didn’t have the stacks or the juice to be a real Hollywood player.)
I don’t care what she says, she has become the iconic image of the golddigger baby-mama. I have lost respect for her. Perhaps he wanted her to sign a pre-nup and she refused.
She herself has said she came from an upper class family in Mexico and is used to the finer things in life. Hollywood is not kind to older actresses, especially women of color, and I feel like she hedged her bets to be set for life once her Hollywood swag ran out.
she might not be depressed but I bet he is. Look at her, she’s beautiful. And her little girl is her spitting image, thank goodness.
I lost respect for Salma a long time ago.Due to her dating exclusively dating one type of men;Ethnic wise.HER behaved during this relationship was nothing more than a high class prostitute. She made damn sure that the father of her baby had be be super rich and white.So much for this strong,proud,progressive minded Latina.

Edward Norton is not a billionnare, I think that is what Uzumaki is saying. Right, Uzumaki? I agree w/ Uzumaki 100% Selma is a big disappointment.
Salma is not a disappointment, she is a strong woman who know that she doesnt need to marry this man just because she had his baby to follow the norm. She is succesful, she produces a succesful show on a gringo network and does philantropy work for Unicef, how is that disappointing. Why spend time dissing our Latino actors and notice the positive things they do, you are never going to hear about them because only the negative things are showcased. She has money and doesnt need his. she comes from a wealthy family that own Oil companies, yes people oil is big bucks!!

Well, whatever they do on their free time is non of my concern as long as she is making money and producing, the numbers is all that counts. Sam thing with JLO. Its all entertainment. Talk good or bad, its making them more famous.

The Hulk 2 made no real money (Ed is always re-writing other people’s stuff. “American History X” anyone? Writing a large part for himself in Salma’s pet project “Frida”? He needs to write his own projects. Perhaps that’s why Hulk 2 was so lame. As far as the gift bag system, he may have publicly made himself look like a hero, but most actors felt guilty anyway about taking free shit when writer’s got nothing. But I digress…)
And yes letitbe, my point was Edward is no billionare. Let’s be real. Henri may be a nice guy, but billionare money will make any woman, especially younger ones forego looks for lump sum cash. Trust, that man knew that. He already has a baby by a top fashion model (who had the baby while he was first dating Salma). A jump off having a baby is nothing for this man. No need to toss out some fake engagement. They both played each other. And I’m sad….sniff.
I know we can only speculate on what and why they broke up, but damn… Must everyone that gets with a person (man or woman) that gets paid above them be labeled a gold digger?? We all know Selma has PLENTY of money with hit shows like Ugly Betty, movies, modeling, endorsements… so on, but since she was with a man that’s a Billionaire that means she was after HIS money, because she couldn’t possibly be happy with her own…. smh.
Great points, Uzumaki, Pagi and Colocha. When you have money, you are never satisfied with what you have - you always want more. No matter how much you have, there is always someone richer than you. Yeah, she has money, but Henri’s lives on a very different plane than Salma.
Funny how everyone thinks he’s older than her. They are only 4 years apart!!
