Shakira Is Not Getting Hitched!
Romantic hopefuls step to the side. According to People En Español, Shakira will not be getting hitched to longtime novio Antonio de la Rúa. Despite the couple’s 8-year relationship and recent engagement, la Colombiana admits that she is shaky about sharing nuptials and much more comfortable with just having an ‘eternal relationship.’
She states,
“El matrimonio me asusta porque me parece más romántico ser la novia eterna, que el hombre se esfuerce, que no se duerma en sus laureles.”
“Marriage scares me because I think it is more romantic to be the eternal girlfriend, so that the man has to bring more of an effort to the relationship and not just fall asleep on it.”
Shaki may not want wedding bells, but she does desire to become a mother in the ‘near future.’ Hopefully avoiding the traditional road wasn’t Antonio’s idea. Otherwise, his shady ass would need to get cut!
