Britney Still In Trouble

She might’ve made a surprising comeback at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards recently, but Britney Spears is not off the hook yet and has a few issues left to sort out.

The singer is bound to appear in court soon and fight legal charges for driving with an invalid license.

Spears’ lawyer, J. Michael Flanagan states this matter is being blown of out proportion and that Britney has to appear in front of a jury because of the unfavorable “special treatment” given by the judges, since he tried to get the charge reduced to an infraction but had no success.

Luckily, la Rubia can stay home admiring her new MTV award and taking care of the boys.  Her presence is not required the day of the trial since her mishap is being considered a “misdemeanor.”

Flanagan has had a hard time defending his client and assures she is being punished too harshly for the fault, insisting if something similar would’ve happened to a “regular person,” the fine would have been ten dollars and no criminal charges whatsoever.

Maybe these superestrellas do envy us anonymous mortals from time to time.
