Antonio Banderas Honored at San Sebastian

Legendary director Pedro Almodovar came out to present fellow Spaniard Antonio Banderas with the Donostia award at this years San Sebastian International Film Festival.

It was, after all, Almodovar that helped to launch a then unknown Antonio into the public sphere via his “Laberinto de pasiones” in 1982. Look at how adorable he was!

The classically handsome Banderas -with his honky tonk woman, Melanie Griffith, in tow- dedicated his award to his father…

…”el hombre que más me ha querido”

Banderas also took time to throw some praise at virtuoso Javier Bardem…

“una persona que simplemente no está en venta, un hombre comprometido con su tiempo, su profesion, y su vida personál“
