Julieta Venegas Launches Tour…Finally!
At long last! My musical soul mate Julieta Venegas has formally announced the beginning of her latest world tour, which is set to feature her most recent work off this year’s “MTV Unplugged” album, like the hit single, “El Presente.”
A very nervous-looking Julieta (with one hideous haircut) was on hand at the Culture Institute of the Mexican Embassy in Madrid today to make the announcement.
I wonder why she looked so uptight. Maybe it was the giant Mexican flag and the wall full of “Mexico” that made her feel like she was on display. O.k., Spain. Way to be condescending. We get it. She’s Mexican.
The Grammy-winning Tijuana native will complete the month with spots in Spain and Germany before coming to the U.S. in early October. Julieta fans, get your tickets now before I beat you to it!!
