Camila Alves’ Handbag Hate

Model turned handbag designer Camila Alves has reportedly been sipping on some hater-ade lately! The beautiful Brazilian -and Matthew McConaughey’s baby mama- has been looking to expand her accessories line, “MUXO,” which, according to the MUXO website, is a complete collection of handcrafted bags assembled in their entirety by Camila and her mother.

“…every stitch sewn, every piece of iron detail, every tassle of fringe, custom made, designed, and crafted by me and my mother’s two hands. It takes us 5 to 8 hours to make each handbag. No machines, no assembly line…so every one is not only original, there’s really no two alike.”

And you know how it is with Hollywood designers. In order to create buzz about their designs, they send freebies to various superestrellas so that they can be photographed in their new duds. Well, some sad sap PR rep at MUXO must have forgotten about Matthew’s past, and sent one of Camila’s bags to sexy ex Penelope Cruz.

And then the shit (allegedly) hit the fan. According to Star magazine,

A source says she’s jealous of the sizzling Spanish actress. “Camila is a little insecure about her relationship with Matt because they’re not married. The fear that he might reconnect with Penelope is still lurking….She’s just praying Penelope marries Javier Bardem soon.”

I’d normally bust on a lady who is so irrationally jealous, but I feel for la pobre de Camila. Being baby mama to a notoriously unattainable bachelor like honky tonk hunk Matthew is probably wearing on her nerves. But it looks as if this honky tonk finally met his match in Camila, as he’s reportedly said to sources that she is the love of his life.

And as far as Penelope is concerned, she’d have to be dumb as a rock to leave that wonderful Javier Bardem! Unlike Matthew, sexy Javier isn’t a chronic shirtless exhibitionist. But to each his own, I guess. At least Matthew has good taste in women.
