Daddy Yankee Gets Burned by Haters
I’m sure Daddy Yankee thought he might earn back some of his lost political street cred by taking the higher, intellectual road and serving as a moderator for a recent debate in PR between the two candidates for governor this past Thursday.
Unfortunately for him, poor Daddy Yankee instead served up another piping hot plate of pendejadas.
According to press from la isla del encanto, the reggaetonero turned political sage was a raging disappointment, as he remained dull and monotonous, reading straight from the teleprompter for the entire debate.
But that’s not all! Extreme DY haters gathered outside the convention center where the debate was being held and burned El Cangri’s CDs, posters, and other such gear. (This would be the perfect time to make a pun…fire…Daddy Yankee…gasolina …but no, I’ll fight the urge. It’s too easy)
He may be trying to move his right wing love out of the spotlight by turning the other cheek, but it looks like fans -apparently, Obamista fans- aren’t quite ready to forgive or forget.
