¿Quien Luce Mejor?
The Cinema Society and Dolce & Gabbana hosted a screening of “Filth and Wisdom” last night at New York City’s Landmark Sunshine Theater.
It seemed little black dresses were the order for the day, as two of Hollwood’s hottest Latinas -America Ferrera and Jessica Alba- both rocked fierce monochromatic gowns on the red carpet.
But while both mujeres sought to play it classic and safe, only one woman can come out on top today. Jessica’s lace dress looks elegant and simple, but something about her face seems off in these pictures. Its almost as if she’s wearing the wrong color of foundation, and she looks sleepier than usual. Maybe baby Honor was up for another 3 a.m. feeding?
As for America, form-fitting black is always flattering on curvy cuerpos, but is this dress sophisticated and subtle? Or boring and bland? Not to mention the fact that America almost looks scared in some of these pics. I can’t make this decision on my own. You decide!

They’ve both looked much better elsewhere. Alba’s hair is blah and too severe and Ferrara, as you said, a wee bit too bland.
Alba’s dress is prettier. America looks really plain, not really a red carpet look. They look like they are going for cocktails.
