Thalia Has Lyme Disease?

The has recently been reported that Mexican actress and singer Thalía and her mother have been diagnosed with Lyme disease!

The pair allegedly contracted the diease via some pesky bug bites from the dreaded “garrapatas” (a.k.a. ticks).

Here’s the 411:

“…fue picada por una garrapata en su casa a las afueras de Nueva York, y hace unos meses cuando estaba lactando a su hijita comenzó a sentirse muy cansada por lo que le pidió a sus doctores que le hicieran la prueba de la enfermedad, que resultó positiva…”

However, it seems that the disease was discovered in time and both mama and daughter are receiving appropriate medical treatment now. Good thing, too. Apparently, if left untreated, Lyme disease can lead to nervous disorders and even paralysis.

Dang, this would never have happened to MariMar…
