Is Mario Lopez the Next Bob Schieffer?

It looks like every half way celeb wants to put in their two cents before election day, this time with dimpled Extra! reporter Mario Lopez sitting down for a one-on-one with Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to discuss the importance of the Latino vote in next week’s election.

After offering condolences to Jennifer Hudson and her family, and talking about his sick abuelita, Obama stated the following, when asked about his thoughts on the Latino community:

“The Latino community, I think, is an inspirational community…doesn’t want things for free…works hard. It’s a community that’s filled with strivers and I just want to make sure that hard work is rewarded and that’s not what’s happening right now — we need change.”

Eloquent with just a touch of presidential catchphrases. Well spoken, Barack. But as for Mario…is it just me, or does it look like this guy is wearing more make up than the man-boys who run the MAC counter at the mall?
