‘If you ain’t laughing, you ain’t living’
Carlos Mencia flexed his comedy skills at the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, California yesterday. Whether you consider him offensive or unoriginal, Mencia has made a career out of pushing peoples buttons. How does he respond to his own comedic style?
“I am a product. . . . I’m a comedian. I’m not curing cancer. In the end, I tell jokes. I make people laugh. I make sense out of ridiculous situations, but in the end, it’s all about laughter. It’s all about your cheek hurting, your stomach hurting.”
“You’re Hispanic. You speak Spanish. You’re doing ethnic jokes. Taco Bell is one of your first targets.”
That’s cool, but I think the ‘beaner’ jokes are getting really old.

WEeellll, he’s raunchy, some of his stuff its hard to laugh at and you can also hear the audience moan when he says a tasteless joke, he has to soften it up a bit.
