From City Of God To Hollywood
She was first introduced to the big-screen as Angelica in the 2002 Academy Award nominated film City of God, and since her debut, 24-year-old Brazilian actress Alice Braga has slowly eased her way into Hollywood.
We watched her help save the human race from freaky mutants in the blockbuster hit, I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, but this summer Alice is conquering a new dramatic flick.
Now she is playing the wife of a bad ass Jiu-Jitsu teacher in the upcoming David Mamet film, Redbelt. The movie has received plenty of industry hype for its raw fight scenes and dramatic appeal.
From the streets of Sao Paulo to the red carpet, Alice is conquering Hollywood with full-force.

how come she looks so different from the City of God??
she was a lot younger then. that movie came out a while ago…but it seems like she is hitting it big. she is a good actress.
She looks quite different on these pictures then in the film ”Lower City”/”Cidade Baixa”!
