   I know I’m going to get murdered for this one, but why hold it against American born latinos if they don’t speak Spanish? After several generations here, most people of all groups don’t speak their “native” tongue. The 3rd generation of ethnic Hispanics/Latinos, after initial immigration, doesn’t speak it, and that’s been documented by linguists within the last 15 years or so. It’s what happens when you move to a country that have a predominant language different from the one you speak.
