Despite the nasty sex tape rumor surrounding Shakira and Alejandro Sanz, the two stars are teaming up with Ricky Martin in a new philanthropy campaign titled, “Yo Amo América.”
The project, which is supported by Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), aims to strike political and social change in Latin America and the Caribbean. Besides helping to form peace in Latin American nations, the program is also dedicated to eliminating poverty.
In case this one comes as a surprise, the Shakira and Alejandro Sanz sex tape featuring a threesome with her man, Antonio de la Rua, was indeed a hoax.
Rumor has it that the bochinche started out by their own publicists as an April Fool’s joke, but others claim that the source of it all was Argentine radio DJ, Javier Ceriani.
In a joint statement to the press, their publicists stated,
“This is a false rumor. This is totally absurd any way you look at it. There is no possibility that such a video exists. It is a baseless and malicious rumor.”
Whoever was in charge of starting this one should be given a pound. Maybe the entire thing was a bust, but at least they had us daydreaming about the possibility.
This rumor is just impossible to believe (unless you are incredibly horny and backed-up). Supposedly, there has been a couple of porn videos linked to Alejandro Sanz.
The first one allegedly shows the musician masturbating while drugs are lying around on a table. The other claims to be a nasty video that shows Alejandro getting down in a threesome with Shakira and her fiance Antonio De La Rua!
In case this story isn’t absurd enough for you, the tape claims to have been stolen by two ex members of Alejandro’s staff.
This bochinche just sounds like a bad April Fool’s joke to me.
Alejandro Sanzno tiene pelo en la lengua about his feelings against Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Two of his concerts in Venezuela, including the February 14th performance in Caracas, were canceled due to his political views against the leader.
Now 80 musicians, and other celebrities, have signed a statement supporting the Grammy-winner. Among the stars are Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Penelope Cruz, and Shakira.
It is said that the petition helps affirm that these celebrities “believe in a Latin America where we are all free to express our views.”
This is a great statement, but is it really creating the change necessary? What are your views?
Here is an insider’s look at Alejandro Sanz’s concert at the WaMu Theater in NYC on Friday. The crowd was singing along to every word and went crazy after an unexpected stage appearance.
Can you make out who the anorexic male star is? If you guess Marc Anthony…you are correct!
People en Español and The Smithsonian Latino Center paid tribute to the drama film, Bella, last night at the Bowery Hotel in New York City. A number of Latino celebrities including, Alejandro Sanz, Argelia, Eduardo Verastegui, and Rosie Perez were just a few of the attendees.
The film, and the event, strongly advocates social empowerment and strength among the Latino population. Pilar O’Leary, the director of the Smithsonian Latino Center, expressed the importance of our cultural and social influence in the U.S.,
“Part of what makes our country so strong is indeed its cultural diversity. Latinos have a long history in the United States — indeed, decades before English colonists arrived on these shores, Hispanic explorers founded the first European settlement in St. Augustine, Florida. The influence of Latinos, especially as the population grows in size, is felt in every aspect of our society — economics, politics, culture, you name it. Part of what we try to do at the Smithsonian Latino Center is to ensure that these contributions are highlighted to the general public.”
We should see more events like this one being held, as well as, more fellow Latino celebrities supporting them! Viva la fuerza Latina!
Singer and song-writer, Alejandro Sanz is laying out the groundwork for his latest album. It seems like Sanz is yearning for another hit single like “Tortura,” which he collaborated with hottie Shakira. This time around, Sanz plans on putting out a bilingual production, and what artists does he have in mind for duos? Beyonce or Alicia Keys! After winning 15 Grammy Awards, it seems like anything he touches turns into gold. Let’s just hope whatever he makes with Beyonce is bearable to listen to!

Alejandro Sanz has been in hiding in some nameless South American country doing his best at healing from that which ails him. Rumors were swirly that he’d cancelled his tour in May for several reasons, including poor health and drug use. In an attempt at healing his “psychological exhaustion” he has begun seeing doctors and reading introspective book. In other words he’s sitting on a Costa Rican beach, smoking doobies and playing guitar for the local girls. His life is so hard.
