Demi Lovato’s Big Break

The always adorable Demi Lovato was recently named one of the ‘10 Breakout Stars of 2008′ by Entertainment Weekly. ¡Que cute!

The fully-clothed Disney princesa has started to make a name for herself through both singing and acting, with her debut album, “Don’t Forget” making it to #2 on the Billboard charts.

She recently told EW:

“Music comes naturally, but acting is a mind challenge, and I have a huge passion for it.”

With her own series in the works, and a movie starring amiguita Selena Gomez set to come out next year, it seems our darling Demi is going to do alright…given that she manages to keep her chones on.

Selena Gomez: Master of Disguise

Queen of cuteness overload Selena Gomez is gearing up for Halloween, with her formal launch of 2008 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign.

Our little humanitarian hermanita is heading the program where, instead of going door to door for candy, participants hit the streets with their handy UNICEF collection box to raise money for children around the world.

But don’t expect to see Selena knocking on your door this Halloween. Well, sort of:

Me and my best friend Demi Lovato have a tradition that we’ve been doing ever since I can remember. We actually wear masks, so it’s so funny because people don’t even know we’re walking by them.

I’m glad to hear they won’t be dressing up like a slutty kittens trapped in fishnet. Click for more pictures of Selena, and get ready to have the cuteness kick you in the face.

Demi Lovato Drops New Single

Lovely little Demi Lovato may be the one of the crown jewels in the Disney empire, but she’s rapidly proving that she’s got what it takes to stand on her own, with her debut album, “Don’t Forget” topping the Billboard charts last week.

Her new single, “Get Back” will likely be filling the airwaves soon enough, but before it begins too infectious to tolerate, get a little preview of Demi’s video here.

We can only hope that she won’t stay under Disney tutelage for too long. What a shame it would be for her to go the way of other over managed pop stars. She’s too cute to become a cracked out, crazy, slutty mess!

So here it is! And shiny, squeaky taste of corporate teenage goodness.

MTV Shows Demi and Selena Some Love

Our little Selena Gomez and BFF Demi Lovato were recently featured on MTV Tr3s for not only being the lovely Latina faces of Disney, but for their (shocking!) level-headedness and humility in spite of their rapid rise to fame.

How refreshing to see two teens stars who aren’t whoring themselves around town or sipping on hater-ade. Here’s hoping they don’t have crazy showbiz moms a la Lynn Spears. But from the sound of it, these two seem to have those ever-elusive Hollywood traits: logic, reason, and natural beauty.

Props to them, because honestly, I don’t remember saying anything half as smart as they have when I was 15! Much love to our tiny hermanitas!

Demi Denies Jonas Love

While her BFF Selena Gomez is open about her Jonas love, the lovely little Spani-Mexi-Italian Demi Lovato (pictured above during her EW photoshoot) has come out to formally debunk the rumors linking her to the excessively pretty man/boy Joe Jonas in the most recent issue of “Entertainment Weekly.”

The chisme started circulating after their on-screen romance in the kiddy flick “Camp Rock,” and their musical collaboration on her debut album, “Don’t Forget.”

But Disney’s mini-princesa set the record straight during her interview for the magazine’s Fall Music Spotlight:

Joe and I never dated. We’re really good friends. I just think it’s funny that people try to pin me to them. It’s like, Oh, come on! I think [if I were going to], I would have dated one of them by now!

Its just as well, Demi. This guy is just way too pretty. Who wants to be with a man who spends more time in front of a mirror than you do? Do yourself a favor and steer clear of high maintenance hombrecitos!
