36-year-old Puerto Rican singer Elvis Crespo will ring in the New Year performing at a show in Toronto. Getting paid to do what you love and party? Not bad. Not bad at all.

What were the best and worst things about this year?
The best thing was that I was alive, and the worst was when I lost my niece in an accident. It was a year of growth. I turned all the negative stuff into something positive. I think I’m ending the year in a positive way. I feel less ignorant than yesterday and stronger than yesterday.

And his New Year resolutions?

Piano lessons, stay in good shape and read a lot.

Those aren’t bad. Not to mention doable. Although I never thought of him as being in good shape. Maybe that’s because I then picture him without his shirt. Definitely not attractive. Definitely, definitely.
