Celebrating four years of freedom from the clink, Mexican music diva Gloria Trevi is currently promoting her latest album, “Una Rosa Blu.”

The highly anticipated work from our notorious troublemaker has been called by music biz insiders, “el disco rompeolas en la carrera de Gloria Trevi,” and is set to feature her original compositions alongwith several collaborations with Venezuelan, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Italian, and Mexican songwriters.

A very happy Gloria -in what can only be assumed is an outfit inspired by an acid trip and posters of Kelly Kapowski- was recently spotted in New York City, stopping to smile for the cameras and flash her CD cover before driving away.

It’s been four years since Mexican singer Gloria Trevi was released from prison and she is celebrating the anniversary to her freedom with music and more work than ever at the El Show de Los Sueños.

After serving a long sentence in Brazil and Mexico for being an alledged “accessory to rape,” Gloria was released in 2004 and soon started to focus on her comeback in the industry as well as in her personal life.

The singer expressed that she is glad to know her fans never abandoned her, not then, during tough times and much less now that she is holding onto her career more powerfully than ever.

…”It’s very moving to me and I thank God for having touched the heart of my fans in that way…”

Said La Trevi, excited to be on the Hit Reality Show.

And as for the usual atacks, Gloria Trevi doesn’t give two strands of her hair about what people say.  She knows people talk a lot of useless basura and don’t understand life until they experience it for themselves.

…”That is when we get it and shut the hell up.”

Our favorite troublemaker, Gloria Trevi was out in Mexico City yesterday to shoot her latest music video for the song, “Pruebamelo.”

From the looks of it, her video takes place in some kind of bumpin’ night club, and while la Gloria struts and shakes like she’s having the time of her life, some of her background dancers look a little less than enthusiastic.

No matter! The never-boring Gloria looks fab in her cobalt blue clubbing outfit. And just look at her shoes!! Is it bad that I’m absolutely in love with them?

Back in the 80’s, Gloria Trevi’s teased hair, ripped leggings, and retro mini-skirts was as addicting as her raspy pop-rock sound.

Now La Trevi is trying to make waves in today’s music scene. She will be premiering her latest video for her single, “Cinco minutos,” from her album “Una rosa blu” on Ritmoson Latino.

Over the years, la loca Gloria Trevi has proven that she is the best at receiving bad press! What is the latest scandal the singer is involved in? According to Fernando Rodríguez Mondragón, son of major Colombian drug-lord, Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela, La Trevi seems to have gotten her hands on some dirty money.

In his latest book, “El hijo del Ajedrista II,” Mondragón explains that back in the 80’s Trevi held a concert in Cali, Colombia sponsored by $300,000 of his father’s drug money. This might be a cheap way to sell books, but with Trevi’s history it is totally believable!
