John Leguizamo Is No Casanova

JOHNRO

Industry veterans, John Leguizamo and Rosie Perez haven’t been in the spotlight for a minute, but the pair are resurfacing for their latest flick, “The Take.”

Rosie and John are leaving their comedic personalities behind, and are playing husband and wife in this intense drama hitting theaters on Friday.

The Oscar nominated actress admits that the worst part of filming involved the baby making scenes,

”It was in the sex scene between husband and wife that things started to go bad. … It was the hardest scene, very difficult. I respect him so much and he respects me so much. I know his wife; he knew my husband and introduced me to my boyfriend. It was very awkward. Like brother and sister having to do a sex scene.”

Let’s be real. Her incestuous feelings are simply a nice way of saying that he bangs like a school kid!

Pobrecito.

La Fuerza Latina!

ale

People en Español and The Smithsonian Latino Center paid tribute to the drama film, Bella, last night at the Bowery Hotel in New York City. A number of Latino celebrities including, Alejandro Sanz, Argelia, Eduardo Verastegui, and Rosie Perez were just a few of the attendees.

The film, and the event, strongly advocates social empowerment and strength among the Latino population. Pilar O’Leary, the director of the Smithsonian Latino Center, expressed the importance of our cultural and social influence in the U.S.,

“Part of what makes our country so strong is indeed its cultural diversity. Latinos have a long history in the United States — indeed, decades before English colonists arrived on these shores, Hispanic explorers founded the first European settlement in St. Augustine, Florida. The influence of Latinos, especially as the population grows in size, is felt in every aspect of our society — economics, politics, culture, you name it. Part of what we try to do at the Smithsonian Latino Center is to ensure that these contributions are highlighted to the general public.”

We should see more events like this one being held, as well as, more fellow Latino celebrities supporting them! Viva la fuerza Latina!

It’s been a minute or two since we’ve seen Rosie, and from the looks of it life has been treating her pretty darn good. I’m digging the fishnet stockings. It’s Rosie Perez… with a flare of sexy!

Here’s a little Rosie Perez trivia for you: The Brooklyn-born actress practices kung-fu.

That explains her having maintained her physique. Yo go, Rosie.

You gotta love IMDB and their useless trivia. You never know when you’ll need that info to win a free koozie at your local bar.
