El Español Antonio Banderas was given the Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts by the King
and Queen of Spain. The actor was one of 18 honorees, amongst artists and personalities that were awarded by Juan Carlos de España.
Antonio acted on behalf of the medal holders and stated that they were all receiving the honor with:
“…El corazón abierto, la mente alerta y el alma llena de gratitud…Comprometidos a seguir ayudando a construir un espacio de libertad llamado España…”
Sitting at the audience was his wife, Melanie Griffith.

Why is it that just when they’ve arrived at hard-earned Hollywood and have provoked us with their delicious bodies and of course, acting skills, they then, take it all away and give it to and pregnant grandmothers and secret pasts lives riding horses? It seems that Mexican American papacito Kuno Becker is looking at the possibility of going back to Novelas! And with none other that RBD producer, Pedro Damián.
And even though Becker has two flicks coming out in 2009, he could very well be doing it for the cash! After all, nobody wants you more that those who might have rejected you once, when you were not a star…

Mexican/American actor (delicia) Jay Hernández scares the crap out of… no one in the set up for the Knott’s Scary Farm Premiere of “Quarantine,” Held on October 9 in Buena Park, California.
The 30 year-old actor looked happy, sexy as blood, gore and all things dark hell, standing next to his cast member, the eerie wounded guy, and also flirting with la Dominicana, actress Dania Ramirez.
After all, they’re so scared in this movie that all they’ve got is each other. And possibly, each other’s numbers on speed dial.

Papito of all papitos, George Clooney is in Puerto Rico on the set of his newest flick “Men Who Stare At Goats.” For those of you unshaven, unmanicured locas out there, keep it real and keep it beautiful cause as of now, you never know when Georgie might just bump into you on the occasional corner and ask you to “marry” him (this is the guy who picked up his last girlfriend behind a Vegas bar).
Yeah, Clooney might have picked La Isla del Encanto for financial purposes but it’s all the same to the lucky borinqueñas who get to see him walk, talk and breathe around the vecinities of Bayamón and elsewhere. And you better become slutty flirty tramps a.s.a.p. since he’s only staying there for a reported three weeks!

I know what you’re thinking and it’s not him… This is Carlos Ramírez, the twin brother of Efrén Ramírez, our beloved Pedro character from Napoleon Dynamite and unlike him, it seems that no one is voting for Carlitos in real life.
He happens to also be an actor but somehow, as most celebrity brothers, got stuck behind the shadow of “Vote for Pedro,” doing college-beer flicks like “The The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down (2006) and 2 Dudes & a Dream (2008). He also shows up at independent events like the Cinema City International Film Festival in Universal City, CA on October 1st.
Well, we are throwing him a bone today cause poor dude looks just like his famed hermanito and needs all the help he can get. The acting industry is hard enough as it is…

She might’ve made a surprising comeback at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards recently, but Britney Spears is not off the hook yet and has a few issues left to sort out.
The singer is bound to appear in court soon and fight legal charges for driving with an invalid license.
Spears’ lawyer, J. Michael Flanagan states this matter is being blown of out proportion and that Britney has to appear in front of a jury because of the unfavorable “special treatment” given by the judges, since he tried to get the charge reduced to an infraction but had no success.
Luckily, la Rubia can stay home admiring her new MTV award and taking care of the boys. Her presence is not required the day of the trial since her mishap is being considered a “misdemeanor.”
Flanagan has had a hard time defending his client and assures she is being punished too harshly for the fault, insisting if something similar would’ve happened to a “regular person,” the fine would have been ten dollars and no criminal charges whatsoever.
Maybe these superestrellas do envy us anonymous mortals from time to time.

It seems like another Ladies Night alum is having success with Hollywood. Ana de La Reguera, who starred in the Hollywood film Nacho Libre, (and who also has the lead role in the HBO show Capadocia) is back with another film for Hollywood called ” Happy Death” with Jay Mohr. Perhaps not as mainstream as her past effort but will surely allow her to do more films in Hollywood in the future. You go superchicas poderosas de Hollywood!

Ana Claudia Talancon, known for her controversial film roles in ” El Crimen de Padre Amaro” and romantic comedies such as ” Ladies Night”, is set to star in a Hollywood film where she is stalked relentlessly by a maniac in a movie called ” Days of Wrath” set to be on screens this year.
According to esmas the actress remembers her audition :
“Cuando yo hice esta audición para el personaje el cuarto estaba lleno de puras mujeres que eran güeritas de ojos azules con flequito, exactamente como pensé que me tenía yo que ver y de pronto pues no tuve más que pensar que no importaba como me viera sino cómo lo hiciera”, apuntó.
