Halloween has got to be my favorite holiday. I love the costumes and the cold weather. And by the looks of these pics from Saturday’s “Scream 2008″ awards in Los Angeles, actresses Alexa Vega and Paz Vega couldn’t wait any longer for Halloween.
Here we see former child star Alexa Vega dressed as a devious little bobble head/skeleton/zombie hybrid who stealthily steals faces and bodies. See the uncanny facial resemblance to Meryl Streep? Aren’t you amazed at how a girl of 20 can look so old?
Also out for a little fright is the eerie Paz Vega. The normally stunning española decided to mix things up a bit and chill us to our very core with her interpretation of a sexy vampire trapped in 1980s couture.
They’re both positively terrifying! More terrifying still is the fact that neither of these women were dressed in costumes. These two looks were 100% intentional.
They were the best of times. They were the worst of times. Yesterday’s Premios MTV Latinoamerica 2008 pre-party were meant to showcase the best and brightest musical talent coming out of the Latino world, but sadly, good music was overshadowed by bad fashion…really bad fashion.
The red carpet at the Vive Cuervo Salon in Mexico City was plagued with D-list music celebs, all trying way too hard to look “edgy” but instead, making me feel like I wanted to poke my eyes out with the “edge” of a razor.
Two looks in particular stood out as unusually hideous: that of the bubbly, avant garde singer Natalia Lafourcade and that of actress/singer (who isn’t an actress/singer these days?) Eiza González, a.k.a. “Lola.” These two musicial mujeres are evidently going for abuelita chic. And I must say, both are doing a spectacular job at trying to look as unattractive and frumpy as possible. But who did it best?
Did Natalia’s shapeless nightgown, bulky scarf and I’m-washing-my-face-right-now hair style take the cake? Or did Eiza seal with the deal with her nun-stuck-in-the-Matrix ensemble?
Fashion ‘don’ts’ appeared to have hit the Premio Juventud red carpet just as hard as our favorite evening wear. Actress Lilia Luciano and television personality Lili Estefan were among the worst dressed mujeres to flaunt their less than tasteful outfits.
Estefan attempted to rock the trendy tie-dye look, but failed miserably. The tacky halter top mini-dress was paired off with an unflattering chunky belt and black pumps.
Although Luciano went for a more conservative look, the telenovela star missed all the right assets with a graphic poofy get-up fit to sit in the discount rack of your local department store.
These chicas need a new stylists to put them in check rapido! In the meantime, who do you think looks the worst?
